Cement Grinding, Packing and Bulk Loading Plant
Production Capacity
The plant was commissioned in 1972 with a grinding
capacity of 300,000 ton/year. Two extensions were in 1978,
when capacity was increased to 1,350,000 ton/year. The third
extension was in 1984, when the plant capacity was
increased to 2,070,000 ton/year.
The White Portland cement plant was commissioned with grinding
capacity of 75,000 ton/year in 1979.
Dispatch Capacity
The plant has a 600 t/hr OPC & SRC packing & loading capacity,
a 700 t/hr OPC & SRC bulk loading capacity, a 100 t/hr White Cement
packing & loading capacity, and 100 t/hr White Cement bulk loading capacity.
Development & Modification
Cement Coolers Modification
Due to the fact that temperature of cement going out of
the mills should be higher than 100oC and it takes too
long for the cement to cool down. As per regulations,
temperature of concrete should not exceed 350C, and hence
a system to cool cement after milling stage was installed
on, which brings cement temperature to the required
limits. The assembling of the cement cooling project
was done by our technicians and was ready for
usage by May 1987 after successful performance test.
Packing Plant Modification
The company has modified and converted 3 old conventional mechanical
weighing packing machines in the gray cement plant
and also converted conventional unit in the white
cement plant to electronic system.
The automatic bag applicators were provided for 6 packing
machines to cancel manual application.
The automatic bag (truck) loading units (autopac) were also
installed replacing the manual bag loading for 5
packing machines (total 12 autopacs).
All bulk loading units with mechanical weighing
systems were converted to latest electronic system and
modification of the bulk loading system for customer
filling with LEGIC - ID card system with linkage to
sales department is in process.
